When children in England are first identified as having wizarding potential, they are watched carefully. Many of them are offered letters to go to Hogwarts, the world-famous school of magic. Many of them are not.
The students that are not used to have no where to go. Nine years after the end of Voldemort's era, those students can attend Pumwicket School of Practical Magic. Pumwicket is housed in a manor house in the countryside - crumbling, underfunded, decrepit, understaffed, and stuffed with the ignored, insane, and otherwise undesirable children from across the Wizarding world.
Some how, it survived its first year. This game takes place in the second year of Pumwicket's tumultuous life.
Pumwicket is an anonymous game. To free ourselves from the usual social nonsense of ordinary RP, no one will know who you are or who you're playing until the game ends.

I didn't think I'd be up to posting tonight, and then the doctor gave me this thing called "miracle wonder drug hee hee hee". Well, he called it "tyenol four" but I totally assure you the other thing is its proper name.
The short version: about 10:30 this morning I started feeling sick. And then started feeling sore. At first I was like 'who's a dumbass and overdid the activity? YOU ARE'.
and then the pain got worse, and I knew what it was. Ah. SHIT. Kidney stone. (Yes, possibly TMI. But I AM HIGH, thanks)
So. I went home, called my mom, got myself a cab to the local ER (with a PRINCE of a cab driver who was kind, professional, and actually got me to laugh once -- while my pain was an 8 or 9 on the scale. Note to self: call cab company, complement the fuck out of this dude.)
They took FOREVER to give me painkillers, but when they did it was a lovely shot of Demerol plus some anti-nausea stuff. Knocked that pain right out. I got a CT, got confirmation, got a note for time off of work and the aforementioned prescription (which is working better than the demerol).
My sister picked me up -- LOVE YOU KATIE -- got me to the pharmacy, helped me stock up on juice and Gatorade and Popsicles, and got me home. So. I am drugged up, wacky in the head, but out of pain and probably out of work for a couple days. (Although I kind of want to go in tomorrow after noon for this meeting. Signs you like your job #123...)
Anyway, crossposting this to LJ, GJ, and IJ after I spell check it. Please to be a bit patient with me. And MUCH love for the texts (Piemaker!) calls (Ari and Meg, kisses, loves) and posting/love/help (Slyness). (And of course, all three and more from my mom.) Very much helped me through that brief demerol-to-codine transfer time.

She harvests email addresses and spams them all to join her game -- then gets testy if you tell her she's a spammer and ask where she got your email address. I highly recommend ignoring her from the get-go and not playing in her games.

Well, I have Deepest Sender installed at work now, so hopefully I'll get around to posting more often.
I think there's honestly too much to catch up on right now without making a ridiculously long post, so I won't. Still working for dentists, still temp, though hopefully not too long.
